Novel Rewind is our version of a weekly wrap-up post. We will be linking up to Stacking the Shelves and The Sunday Post.
I’m happy to report I had a decidedly better week this week! I worked pretty much every day, so it was nice to be back on a more regular schedule. Thursday night, my friends and I went to karaoke at an Irish pub in Midtown, and it was so much fun. My friend Jamee and I brought the house down with a Fleetwood Mac duet, and I also sang some ABBA and Kacey Musgraves, of course. Friday night, I went to a friend’s senior voice recital, which was soooooo fantastic. I was scared to go back to the School of Music since I’m not taking classes this semester and didn’t wanna talk to people and deal with the weird judgement, but it actually was totally fine. This weekend, we’re having a surprise party for one of my best friends’ birthdays, so that should be really fun.
A YA contemporary that deals with the aftermath of the Irish Troubles???? Yes, please. I can’t wait for this one– thanks, Turner Publishing!
Books Read/Currently Reading
I’m participating in the #ContemporaryAThon this week, which is why I’ve gotten so much reading done! Most of these fell somewhere between “okay” and “pretty good,” but there were two standouts: my reread of Vicious, which has cemented its place as my favorite Schwab book to date, and Tyler Johnson Was Here, which was brutal and honest and necessary.
These are the last two books on my #ContemporaryAThon TBR, so hopefully I can knock them out this weekend! I’m listening to the audio of The Last Time I Lied and enjoying it so far. I can’t wait to dive into Serious Moonlight because, duh, Jenn Bennett.
Currently Obsessing Over
I have had this song on repeat all week, and this video is beautifully done.
How was your week? Have you read any of the books I mentioned?
