Novel Rewind is our version of a weekly wrap-up post. We will be linking up to Stacking the Shelves and The Sunday Post.
Hey everyone! I hope you’re having a great week. This week was a little strange, but I did do some fun things. My mom was in town at the beginning of the week, so on Tuesday I got to show her around my new job and then we went out for Thai food and ice cream. I hadn’t seen my mom in person in a couple months, and I didn’t realize how much I missed her and needed to see her! Friday night, I hung out with my two best friends. This Saturday night, I’m headed to a concert at a local brewery I love, which should be fun. Next week will most likely be full of work and spending time with friends, but I am super excited because Thursday night, my favorite band in the universe (The Avett Brothers) is playing a post-game concert at the Braves stadium! I haven’t seen them live in two years, and I seriously can. not. wait.
Thank you to Simon & Schuster for this e-ARC! This is one of my most-anticipated fall releases, and I cannot wait to start reading.
Books Read/Currently Reading
I had a GREAT week of reading. Pride was a delightful retelling. A Heart in a Body in the World… I can’t even begin to articulate how necessary this story is and how much it meant to me. It instantly skyrocketed to the top of my “favorite reads of 2018” list, and is absolutely an all-time favorite. It completely took my breath away– it was equal parts horrifying and hopeful. Absolutely everyone needs to read it. I also read a fantastic f/f novella, Learning Curves by Ceillie Simkiss!
I didn’t get much of a chance to listen to any audiobooks this week, so I’m still making my way through Undead Girl Gang! I plan to start Summer Bird Blue this weekend… I hope my heart can handle it!
Currently Obsessing Over
Mumford & Sons, Babel // I don’t know what sparked it, but I’ve been on an old Mumford kick this week. I forgot how much I adore this album.
The Great British Baking Show, Season 5 // Did I become a PBS member just so I could watch the entire season at once? Yes. Do I have any regrets about this? NOPE.
How was your week? Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What are you currently obsessing over?
