Novel Rewind is our version of a weekly wrap-up post. We will be linking up to Stacking the Shelves and The Sunday Post.
Hi, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I am excited to say that I am officially done with another semester of college! I took my last final this week. Other than finals, I had a fun week! Monday night, my best friend and I went to Trixie Mattel at the Atlanta performance on her Now with Moving Parts Tour. It was such a fun show! Trixie is even more beautiful in person, and I loved getting to hear some of her music performed live. They even had a signature cocktail for the night called the “Oh Honey,” made with lavender-infused gin, mint, and honey– SO good. Thursday night, my choral director had a few of us over at her home for a choral department graduation party! It was a great time with great food and great friends. And then Friday night, I went to a drag show to see my favorite queen from RPDR Season 10, Miz Cracker! One of my favorite local drag queens, Evah Destruction, also performed. It was a blast! I have had such a drag-queen-filled week, and my heart is so happy. Finally, Saturday, I attended the Leah on the Offbeat launch event here in Atlanta! Emily X. R. Pan, the author of The Astonishing Color of After, was also on the panel, and it was moderated by Aisha Saeed (author of Written in the Stars and the upcoming Amal Unbound). And Becky loved my lowkey Leah cosplay (pictures on my Twitter)!! *screams*
In bookish news, I am thrilled to announce that I’ll be a panelist on the Blogging Story panel at Blogbound Con in New York City on May 29th! My panel starts at 6:15, but if you’ll be in the NYC area, I highly recommend you come out to Blogbound! I would LOVE to see some familiar faces in the audience.
I mean, duh. <3
I received The Leading Edge of Now as part of an ARC tour I’m participating in, and I definitely screamed a little when HarperCollins approved my request for What If It’s Us.
Books Read/Currently Reading
I had a great reading week! Garrett Girls was a cute summery contemporary. Finding Yvonne, Leah on the Offbeat, and All American Boys were all knockout five-star reads for me. All three of them fundamentally changed part of the way I think.
I cannot wait to dive further into this one! Eeeeeeeep. <3
Currently Obsessing Over
Karen Mae on BookTube // I’ve been subscribed to Karen’s channel for quite a while, but her videos in the past month or so have been incredible. Her content as of late is killing it, and she’s quickly become an auto-watch subscription for me.
How was your week? What are you currently reading and/or obsessing over?
