Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine. It’s a feature where we show-off one of our most anticipated reads of the year. Where we tend to add more books to your never-ending TBR.

Waiting on Wednesday: The Sun Is Also a StarThe Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon
Published by Delacorte Press on November 1st 2016
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary
Pages: 384

Natasha: I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is twelve hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story.
Daniel: I’ve always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents’ high expectations. Never the poet. Or the dreamer. But when I see her, I forget about all that. Something about Natasha makes me think that fate has something much more extraordinary in store—for both of us.

The Universe: Every moment in our lives has brought us to this single moment. A million futures lie before us. Which one will come true?

Why am I waiting? I cannot wait for this book because I really enjoyed Nicola’s first book, Everything Everything. I really enjoy her writing and I think this book is going to even outshine her first. *fingers crossed*

  1. Cannot wait for this one either! I adore the author’s debut so I have high hopes! And look at the pretty cover! 🙂

  2. I will be reading Everything, Everything in June finally because it’s my family book club selection. I got this new book at BEA, and I’m pretty excited to read it as well, but I’ll wait until it’s closer to the release date because I have too many books to read ahead of it.

  3. It sounds like it isnt as original as Everything, Everything, if that makes sense – but im still pretry excited about this books, because a) Yoon’s writing is so easy to read, b) I had so many feels reading Everything, Everything and c) THAT COVER IS GORGEOUS!

  4. I saw an article on the behind the scenes of making the cover of this AND IT WAS SO SO COOL!!! *flails* I didn’t love Everything Everything but I’m still keen to read this one. heehe.
