top ten tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is an All About Audio freebie, so I decided to spotlight ten of my all-time favorite albums. I’m definitely an “album person”– meaning, if I like an artist, I don’t just listen to a few of their songs, I listen to their albums, with all the songs played in order. I especially love concept albums (as you’ll see below). I think it must be my linear mind. 😉 Anyway, it was SO difficult to pick just ten for this list; I might have to make a part two sometime!

And a very special bonus number eleven…

My amazing choir recorded this stunning album of evening- and night-themed music my freshman year of college. Not only is the repertoire amazing (and the final product turned out incredible), but this music holds so many memories for me.

What are some of your favorite albums? Do you agree with any of my choices? I’m always looking for new music recommendations, so let’s chat in the comments!

  1. I WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE WITH HAMILTON!! Omg I knew I liked you for a reason. Eeeeeeek! You have to help me convince Erica to listen to it. I can flail about this with someone else!!! I’m so freaking excited!!
I’ve only listened to Closer with Halsey and that’s the only song I’ve heard that she sings in (I think). I’ve been meaning to listen to all of her songs but I keep forgetting. I’ll do it this week!

  2. I’m so embarrassed, but I haven’t listened to ANY of these. I KNOW!! For some reason I haven’t been listening to music lately, and I’m really not so sure why. I think because whenever I could be listening to music, I usually listen to an audiobook instead. LOL Regardless, I definitely need to make more time for music in my life and check out some of these albums! 🙂

    • Aw, no need to be embarrassed! I feel really similarly, actually– I haven’t discovered or even looked for new music for months, because I’ve been super into podcasts recently and I’ve been listening to podcasts and radio whenever I would normally listen to music. Definitely let me know if you check any of these out, though! 🙂
