Abby and the Cute One // Erin Butler

Abby and the Cute One // Erin Butler

This is only the second book I have read in The Backstage Pass series and I want to pick up the first three. The last two that I have read, Anya and the Shy Guy and this one, have been FABULOUS. They have both been four stars for me. They are cute stories with wonderful romance-y themes. But enough about the two books I have read, let’s focus on this bad boy…or cute on shall I say. This story was all kind of cute and that fits the main male character quite well. Every bit of this book is miraculous. I mean there were things that I wasn’t overly excited about, but other than that…wonderful. This story was quick to […]

Forget Tomorrow | Excerpt & Guest Post

Excerpt from Chapter Four of Pintip Dunn’s Forget Tomorrow   “I can’t fight Fate. But I know who can. FuMA. I’m going to let them arrest me. Lock me up, so that I can’t fulfill my memory. Even if I want to.” He stills. “But then you would be in detainment. For the rest of your life.” You’ll never see the sun again, a voice inside me whispers. Never get married and have your own family. The inside of a cell will be your home for the rest of your days. I don’t care. Tears drip onto my cheeks, and I swipe them away. This is my sister we’re talking about. My sister. “I can’t imagine ever doing what my […]

Romancing the Dark in the City of Light by Ann Jacobus

Welcome to my stop on the tour, everyone. What caught my eye was the cover, I mean how couldn’t it? It’s absolutely stunning. I totally judge a book by it’s cover…I know it’s a shame. But, this one definitely stood up to it’s gorgeous cover. The story was so engaging, wonderful and I couldn’t put it down. I finished in one day and there’s only a select amount of books that do that. Some of my favorites don’t even keep me engaged the whole time (that may not make any sense to you, oops)!! So, this story is going to stick with me for awhile. It has such a dark topic that goes with the contemporary side and it’s magnificent. […]

Tonight the Streets Are Ours | Was Utterly Disappointing

Tonight the Streets Are Ours | Was Utterly Disappointing

Tonight the Streets Are Ours is not at all what I was expecting. What Was I Expecting? As a huge fan of This Song Will Save Your Life, I was so excited to get my hands on this book.  I just knew that I would fall in love with it like I did TSWSYL.  That didn’t happen. I did like the overall message of this book and that is the only reason for my 2 star rating. I was expecting to fall in love with the characters, or at least the main character.  That didn’t happen.  Our MC, Arden, most of the time at times, got on my nerves. In the summary she is described as being ‘recklessly loyal’ but […]

Something Real by Heather Demetrios

Something Real by Heather Demetrios

After reading I’ll Meet You There and falling in love with Sky and Josh’s story, I knew that I had to read more by this author.  I went into Something Real expecting to fall in love with the characters like I did with IMYT.  Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.  While I did really enjoy some of the characters, I hated more than I liked.  Okay, maybe not, but it feels that way. I’m going to break this review down a little different than what I normally do.  I feel like it’ll help me articulate my many dislikes and likes better. LIKED: Characters – Just a warning, this will be on both lists.  The characters that I actually liked in this book […]

Playing the Player by Lisa Brown Roberts

ERICA’S REVIEW Another Entangled Crush book off my check list! Another book that I did really enjoy. Yes, I really enjoyed it and my 3 star rating may not show that, but when it comes to these Entangled Crush novels I get a little picky and what-not! This wasn’t one of my favorites, but like I said above, it was a good read. Like all Entangled Crush books the romance was wonderful, but with this one it was slow. But, not in a bad way. There was no insta-love and it was the romance was built so perfectly. At first there was even a little bit of love/hate situation going on and that was awesome. I love that whole idea. […]

Blackmail Boyfriend by Chris Cannon

ERICA’S REVIEW Lately I have fallen in love with all of the Entangled Teen books. They have been absolutely amazing and this one was no different. Blackmail Boyfriend was absolutely incredible and I am so happy to have read it. Recommendations all around, especially if you want a quick, happy, and light read. Haley Patterson is a wonderful student, pretty but stuck in the crowd, crushing but from afar…until one day. A rumor is going around school and she takes full advantage of it. She has two brothers her are always on her case when it comes to boys, but when this rumor comes out its her chance to quite them. Bryce is the boy she has been crushing on […]

Anya and the Shy Guy Review ++ Giveaway!

Erica’s Review Anya and the Shy Guy is a book I definitely recommend you pick up. It is a quick, easy read that has you intrigued from the beginning. Anya is a girl who lived on the streets and never really had anything. She starts writing for a company and lands a huge job. She has to find some dirt on one of the band members of Seconds to Juliet. The band member she is set out to interview is Will Fray, the shy guy…or is he? Not really, Will Fray is actually Matt Fray, his twin brother. Will is away in rehab so Matt had to take over for him. Matt tries his hardest to act just like his twin, […]

Forever For a Year Blog Tour | Interview & Giveaway!

Interview with B.T. Gottfred 1. Can you tell readers a little bit about Forever for a Year? Carolina and Trevor meet on the first day of high school and it’s an almost cosmic connection from the start. The book is told in alternating her/him chapters as they go on the mad, magical roller coaster that is first love.  2. What inspired you to write Forever for a Year? I was drawn to young adult novels because of the purity of emotion teenagers have. Adults feel all the same things, we just like to pretend we don’t by hiding beyond layers of rationalized repression. As for why this book exactly? Basically Carolina and Trevor got inside my head and they wouldn’t […]

Blog Tour: The Truth About Jack by Jody Gehrman

I want to give a big thanks to the author and YA Bound Book Tours for this book – it was amazing. This book was finished so quickly by me. Yes, it may have taken a few days to read, but my family was disturbing me a little too much, hehe. I devoured it, in the time allotted. I loved every inch of this book. The characters were wonderful, especially Dakota, and I just didn’t want the story to end. I really loved Dakota, mainly because she gave hope to us girls out there. She was betrayed and she just kept on fighting. I mean sure, she was so heart-broken at first, but she didn’t play the card of “everyone feel […]
