The Disasters is basically The Breakfast Club meets Guardians of the Galaxy and it was a very solidly fun book with a diverse cast and a queer romance lurking around the corner. Safe to say this book made my heart very happy because this was exactly what I needed to read. Did it blow my mind with its twist and turns? Maybe not, but not every book needs to be like that and this is one of those because I had so. much. fun. This book is about a group of washed out students that witness a terrorist group attack the elite Ellis Station Academy and are then framed for it. Nax, our MC, functions as their pilot and captain […]
My Thoughts Holy crap, you guys! I seriously don’t even know where to begin! This book absolutely blew me away. This author seems to have that effect on me. Well, technically this is only the second book of hers that I’ve read, the first being One Past Midnight, but both of them blew me away! I’ve been wanting to read this book for a while, I saw it on Goodreads and it sounded amazing and I saw that some of my friends had read and loved it. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get my hands on it because it wasn’t published in the US yet. I was so ecstatic when I saw it available for review request because I had been wanting […]

Welcome to my stop on The Lifeboat Clique Blog Tour! I am so happy to be a part of this tour and that I am able to share with you guys this amazing book! Make sure to stay till the end so you can enter the giveaway! 🙂 Some people might say that Denver had a death wish. Why else would she have dared to sneak into a Malibu beach party where she’d be surrounded by enemies, namely including her ex-BFF Abigail? Oh yeah. Croix. Denver never thought in a million years he’d ask her out, but who was she to question this miracle of fate? Well, that wasn’t the only surprise fate had in store. During the party a […]
Hey, Courtney Stevens How do you do it? How do you write such honest characters that break my heart? This is the second book that I have read of yours and both of them are so real, so raw, and so touching. The Lies About Truth really caught me by surprise. I had a hunch that I would love it because I loved Faking Normal so much, but I didn’t expect to be so touched by these characters and their story. Sadie It was such an honor to get into Sadie’s head and to see where she was at after the accident and to see her come to terms with what happened and everything she lost was so moving. Sadie […]
I honestly don’t even know where to start. This book was so haunting and so emotional, and it shed so much light on the subject of rape and sexual assault. Unfortunately, it always comes down to the girl lying and running the guys name ‘through the mud’, but that’s usually not the case. I’m not saying it doesn’t happen, but it seems that it’s everyone first thought. All too often, it seems that the girl (WHO IS THE VICTIM!) has to live with people calling her names and saying that she asked for it because she wore short skirts, or had too much to drink, or whatever, while everyone takes up for the guy. It’s ridiculous. Kate, our MC, was at the […]
Oh my gosh, I don’t even know where to start! I hadn’t heard of this book until my #OTSPSecretSister sent it to me for my birthday (THANK YOU SISTER!), of course since it came recommended from my wonderful sister, I immediately picked it up. And let me tell you, once I started, I couldn’t stop. I finished the entire book within 24 hours of picking it up, it was just so easy to get caught up in Rachel and Kash. Forgiving Lies is unlike most of the New Adult books that I’ve read. I loved the fact that while we still get the swoon worthy romance, there’s more to the story. Rachel Masters knows tragedy, it’s something that she’s witnessed firsthand […]
Review Before I start, let me say that I’m probably going to be the black sheep on this book and my main complaint is mostly a personal thing, but it really hindered my enjoyment of this book. Going into Paperweight I was expecting amazing things. It already has excellent ratings on Goodreads and quite a few compelling reviews that ultimately pushed me into downloading this book from Edelweiss. However, I didn’t love it like I thought I would. Stephanie, or Stevie, is going through some issues and I’m sure everyone has figured out the whole eating disorder thing from the summary so…Stevie has an eating disorder. She also lost her brother, and she feels like she is to blame for his […]
“If you would had told me two months ago that the four of us would be sitting in this car together, I never would have believed you.” This story is so much more than revenge. It is so beautiful because of the issues that come forth throughout this story. Both Genesis @ Latte Nights Reviews and Kristy-Marie @ Studio Reads say that there are issues in this book that should not be issues and boy do I agree. That’s not saying anything bad about the book though because the author handles these issues so well. She doesn’t put them to the side like the characters in this book do (side characters). The main characters all have had something happen to them…whether it be slut-shaming […]
