I have been reading thrillers so much lately and you’d think I’d be able to know what was going to happen. HA. Thing again. This book definitely takes you on a ride.  erica’s thoughts Like I said above I have been reading a lot of thrillers lately so I was nervous to continue on with that, but damn…Final Girls threw me through a loop. ARC Review | A Good Idea: Cristina Moracho

ARC Review | A Good Idea: Cristina Moracho

TRIGGER WARNING: DRUG ABUSE/DRUG USE A Good Idea was a decent book. I enjoyed it from beginning to end but it didn’t blow me away. The beginning was, which is odd for me, better than the end. I got into it really quick and wasn’t wanting to put it down, but after I read for a while…I had to stop. It kind of took a weird pace for me and I was just meh about it. I’m not sure if that was actually the books doing or me just being me at this time of my reading slump, but either way, it took a toll on my enjoyment. Now, the pacing was good in the sense of all books ever (if […]

He Will Be My Ruin: K.A. Tucker || My Re-Read Review

I don’t re-read often, but when I was asked to review the new paperback I was all for it. Having re-read this book has made me want to start re-reading more. It allows you to catch some things you didn’t necessarily see before and it allows you to feel some things you didn’t feel before. It’s quite awesome. Now, into the actual review of the book. This book, even the second time around, was just as thrilling and mind-blowing as before. Even though I knew what was going to happen I was still captivated from beginning to end. The first time I read this one I was completely wrong with what was going on or who did what. Now, with […]

Blog Tour & GIVEAWAY || The Lost and the Found: Cat Clarke

my thoughts A contemporary, mystery/thriller? Heck yes. This genre was one I used to avoid like the plague. I get freaked out a lot when reading thrillers because they make my brain go crazy, but boy, have they been blowing me away lately. I have been really enjoying thrillers and this one didn’t let me down. Now it isn’t going to be a complete favorite of mine, but it kept me interested, on my toes, and going what the hell throughout the whole entire book! Now, I loved the twists and turns in this novel, but the thing that made me really enjoy this read is the MC. She was the only character that I wholeheartedly enjoyed. Every other character […]

Blog Tour & GIVEAWAY! || SWEAR ON THIS LIFE: Renee Carlino

Swear on This Life was such a fantastic book, this review might be a bit ramble-y. I also plan on writing this review to the author, so it’ll be a little different. Dear Renee,           First and foremost I want to thank you for writing such a beautiful and touching story. The way you are with words is just quite eloquent. He Will Be My Ruin by K.A. Tucker

My Thoughts Holy crap, guys!  This book was just mind blowing!  Seriously I just finished it and my mind is still reeling and I don’t even know what to think.  I’m still kind of in shock that I was completely wrong the whole freaking time.  I mean, I’m good with these whole mystery solving things.  Or at least I thought I was, I feel a bit off my crime solving game as of late.  I guess it’s a good thing that I had stuff so screwed up though cause I kind of hate when everything is so clear and right in your face.  I like to be shocked when it comes to my mystery books.  And let me tell you, […]

Perfect Days: Raphael Montes

A twisted young medical student kidnaps the girl of his dreams and embarks on a dark and delirious road trip across Brazil in the English-language debut of Brazil’s most celebrated young crime writer. Teo Avelar is a loner. He lives with his paraplegic mother and her dog in Rio de Janeiro, he doesn’t have many friends, and the only time he feels honest human emotion is in the presence of his medical school cadaver—that is, until he meets Clarice. She’s almost his exact opposite: exotic, spontaneous, unafraid to speak her mind. An aspiring screenwriter, she’s working on a screenplay called Perfect Days about three friends who go on a road trip across Brazil in search of romance. Teo is obsessed. […]
