The Lifeboat Clique: Kathy Parks

Welcome to my stop on The Lifeboat Clique Blog Tour! I am so happy to be a part of this tour and that I am able to share with you guys this amazing book! Make sure to stay till the end so you can enter the giveaway! 🙂   Some people might say that Denver had a death wish. Why else would she have dared to sneak into a Malibu beach party where she’d be surrounded by enemies, namely including her ex-BFF Abigail? Oh yeah. Croix. Denver never thought in a million years he’d ask her out, but who was she to question this miracle of fate? Well, that wasn’t the only surprise fate had in store. During the party a […]

Come Back to Me by Mila Gray

Welcome to my stop on the Come Back to Me tour hosted by Fantastic Flying Book Club! A story of romance, friendships and lots of tears! Make sure you check out the giveaway! “Come back to me,” I whisper. “Always,” he answers, kissing me for the last time.” If you read the synopsis to this before diving in you surely know some tears will be shed. The prologue to this book basically shares with you what the synopsis does. You have the wondering fear throughout the whole book, who will it be? Kit, her brother’s best friend, her boyfriend or will it be Riley, her brother? Who will come back to her and who will pass away? This whole idea had me […]

Abby and the Cute One // Erin Butler

Abby and the Cute One // Erin Butler

This is only the second book I have read in The Backstage Pass series and I want to pick up the first three. The last two that I have read, Anya and the Shy Guy and this one, have been FABULOUS. They have both been four stars for me. They are cute stories with wonderful romance-y themes. But enough about the two books I have read, let’s focus on this bad boy…or cute on shall I say. This story was all kind of cute and that fits the main male character quite well. Every bit of this book is miraculous. I mean there were things that I wasn’t overly excited about, but other than that…wonderful. This story was quick to […]

Romancing the Dark in the City of Light by Ann Jacobus

Welcome to my stop on the tour, everyone. What caught my eye was the cover, I mean how couldn’t it? It’s absolutely stunning. I totally judge a book by it’s cover…I know it’s a shame. But, this one definitely stood up to it’s gorgeous cover. The story was so engaging, wonderful and I couldn’t put it down. I finished in one day and there’s only a select amount of books that do that. Some of my favorites don’t even keep me engaged the whole time (that may not make any sense to you, oops)!! So, this story is going to stick with me for awhile. It has such a dark topic that goes with the contemporary side and it’s magnificent. […]

Middle graders with petty drama…depicted perfectly.

ERICA’S REVIEW Unfriended was just a good story, nothing spectacular, but it kept me engaged the whole time. It seems like 2.5 stars is super low, but there really isn’t much bad to say about this other than I am too old to have connected and it just didn’t sit well with me in the topics. what petty topics are you talking about Erica? 1.  Worrying about the popular table and if you will ever sit there 2. Friends getting mad for their friends trying to make new friends 3. Boys, boys, boys So, let’s start with the worrying about sitting at the popular table. C’mon. Okay. WAIT! Before I go on with this review, I think that if I were […]

What We Saw by Aaron Hartzler

What We Saw by Aaron Hartzler

I honestly don’t even know where to start.  This book was so haunting and so emotional, and it shed so much light on the subject of rape and sexual assault.  Unfortunately, it always comes down to the girl lying and running the guys name ‘through the mud’, but that’s usually not the case.  I’m not saying it doesn’t happen, but it seems that it’s everyone first thought.  All too often, it seems that the girl (WHO IS THE VICTIM!) has to live with people calling her names and saying that she asked for it because she wore short skirts, or had too much to drink, or whatever, while everyone takes up for the guy.  It’s ridiculous. Kate, our MC, was at the […]

Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone

Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone

Every Last Word really surprised me, which it shouldn’t have considering all of the amazing things that I’ve heard about this book and this author.  Based on the summary and the things that I had heard, I kind of knew that I would like it.  But oh my gosh, Sam’s story was so touching and I loved every minute of it. Honestly, I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about Sam during the first few chapters of this book.  She tries so hard to fit in with her popular ‘best’ friends, even though she’s not at all.  I’ve read books like this before and the MC almost always gets on my nerves because they try so hard to […]

Even When You Lie to Me by Jessica Alcott

Even When You Lie to Me by Jessica Alcott

“The day after I turned eighteen was the day Mr. Drummond left for good.” The synopsis and general idea of this book had me from the get go. I was so very intrigued with this story that I new I had to give it a go. I kind of wanted an Aria and Ezra thing going on…and I think that’s where I got my hopes up. Charlie was such a magnificent character. I really loved her and if I could read another Alcott story about just Charlie and her future endeavors I would be set. Alcott writes beautifully and I was so in to her writing, but the story just didn’t get my full intention. I mean, it did, hell, […]

Emmy & Oliver | IS AMAZING

Emmy & Oliver | IS AMAZING

Review I was kind of hesitant to read this book at first.  Don’t ask me why, I have no idea.  Maybe because there is already some hype surrounding it.  Whatever the reason, I almost missed this incredible story and I’m so glad that I decided to give it a try. When Emmy and Oliver were 7 years old, Oliver goes with his dad after school one day to spend the weekend, and he never comes back.  Well, at least for 10 years. Fast forward 10 years and Oliver is back in Emmy’s life and Emmy is having a hard time trying to figure out what to say or do.  I mean, what do you say to someone who’s dad kidnapped them […]

Blog Tour | Nowhere But Here by Katie McGarry Review & GIVEAWAY

Review Katie McGarry is one of my favorite authors, I know when I pick up one of her books that I’m going to get a story, so raw and so honest that I’ll instantly fall in love.  Nowhere But Here is another book to add to my favorites, and another reason why McGarry is on my auto-buy author list.  In fact, as I’m writing this review, I already have a hardback copy pre-ordered for my collection.   Emily has grown up in Florida away from her biological dad, Eli, who also belongs to the motorcycle club, Reign of Terror.  According to her mom, Eli left her when he found out that she was pregnant with Emily.  Emily has spent […]
