Netflix and Books: February Check-In

Posted March 4, 2017 by Erica || 2 Comments

Lauren and I (Erica) introduced our Netflix and Books Challenge for 2017  as a way of making progress on books we want to read and TV shows we want to watch. The TBR lists were chosen by matching books up to various TV shows based on characters, plots, etc. You can learn all about the challenge and join in anytime here! Don’t forget, you can also still participate in our Netflix and Books Tag that we debuted in 2016; it’ll give you some points in this challenge too!

READING PROGRESS

erica’s progress

I have gotten nowhere on reading progress, but I’m hoping by the end of next month that I’ll be good to go on that front. I have some books in mind but nothing is set in stone.

^^I said this last month as well, and…sadly I got nowhere. Unfortunately my reading has been down the drain. I have read three books, but none of them fit the bill of our categories.

I read a total of nine books in February:

  • Ash by Malinda Lo
  • Girl Out of Water by Laura Silverman
  • Here We Are: Feminism for the Real World, edited by Kelly Jensen

  • Goodbye Days by Jeff Zentner
  • We Are Okay by Nina Lacour
  • The King of Bourbon Street by Thea de Salle
  • Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde
  • A Conjuring of Light by V. E. Schwab

TV WATCHING PROGRESS

Again, I have totally kicked butt in the TV watching business. I love me my shows and I have been enjoying them all so much.

The 100 (Seasons 1)

I did a re-watch AGAIN. But, this time I have gotten my mom to watch the show with me so yay for that.

Kitchen Nightmares (Season 1)

Great British Baking Show (Season 3)

Project Runway: All Stars (Season 1-4)

 madalyn’s progress

Ummm… nothing to report on this front. *hides* I didn’t watch a single episode of a TV show in February. I’ve just been SO busy with school and music stuff. Hopefully I’ll be able to watch something over spring break this month– send any recommendations you have my way!!

  • Good job guys! I really want to watch The Great British Baking Show. I watched the American version this year and loved it.

  • OMG. I’ve been so out of the loop that I missed this challenge! I’m hoping it’s not too late to start because this would be perfect for me!
