Netflix & Books Challenge: January Check-In

Posted January 28, 2017 by Erica || 6 Comments

Lauren and I (Erica) introduced our Netflix and Books Challenge for 2017  as a way of making progress on books we want to read and TV shows we want to watch. The TBR lists were chosen by matching books up to various TV shows based on characters, plots, etc. You can learn all about the challenge and join in anytime here! Don’t forget, you can also still participate in our Netflix and Books Tag that we debuted in 2016; it’ll give you some points in this challenge too!

READING PROGRESS

erica’s progress

I have gotten nowhere on reading progress, but I’m hoping by the end of next month that I’ll be good to go on that front. I have some books in mind but nothing is set in stone.

I’ve had a great start to my reading year! So far, I’ve read eleven books:

Scrappy Little Nobody by Anna Kendrick

In the Hope of Memories by Olivia Rivers

The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

Second Kiss by Chelsea M. Cameron

Tell Me Again How a Crush Should Feel by Sara Farizan

Tiny Pretty Things and Shiny Broken Pieces by Sona Charaipotra & Dhonielle Clayton

10 Things I Can See From Here by Carrie Mac

A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro

Noteworthy by Riley Redgate

Born a Crime by Trevor Noah

TV WATCHING PROGRESS

I’ve been kicking butt in the TV aspect. I have been watching a lot of TV recently, which is fine by me.

I do have a list of all shows I want to watch (which definitely won’t include them all because I’m always so forgetful). Hopefully, I will add them in by the time this post goes up, but if not, I’ll update you guys in February. Anyway, the shows I have watched are…

The 100 (Seasons 1-3)

Supernatural (Season 4)

Project Runway (Season 10, 7 & 8) — let me know what your fave season of PR is so I can watch that!

I’m kind of the opposite of Erica– I’ve had a great reading year so far, but I haven’t watched much TV. I’ll be doing a separate post detailing my watchlist for the year soon, but for now, here’s what I’ve watched so far in 2017.

Mozart in the Jungle (Seasons 1-3)

Glee (Season 3)
