Ah, September. The month where we’ll all go bankrupt from new releases.

Madalyn:

While you’re reading this, I’ll be in Orlando for BookNet Fest! I am seriously so, so excited for this event. Expect a recap on the blog soon! And I hope you’re all having a lovely Labor Day weekend. Anyway, the month of August was fairly uneventful in my world! I worked a lot, read a lot, and started a new semester of school. It’s definitely nice to be back in the routine of school again! Plus, this semester is going well so far.

I love this photo I caught of the solar eclipse shadows being projected onto the sidewalk through the tree canopy!

next month

Madalyn:

September should honestly just be more of the same for me??? Geez, I’m so boring lately. I have a couple fun things planned with friends (including my best best best friend’s 21st birthday in two weeks), and I’m also planning to attend quite a few local bookish events! Other than that, though… school, work, sleep, repeat.

king of the month

Madalyn:

This book was INCREDIBLE. It’s genius in so many ways, and it deserves much more recognition in the online book community than it gets! Highly, highly recommend this stunning graphic novel to literally everyone.

  • Thank you for linking to my post, I’m glad you liked it! 😃 And thank you for spelling Izzi right, it’s so easy but everyone gets it wrong somehow 😂 I hope you have an exciting September! x

    • You’re so welcome! And haha of course– I also have a name that most people spell incorrectly, so I totally get it. Thank you! Happy reading this month! 🙂

  • I am looking forward to Autoboyography too! Looks like you had a really good reading month. Hope you are having fun at BookNet Fest. Have a great September!

  • I love the posts of other blogs you posted here. Thanks for sharing!

    • Glad you enjoyed them! So many great posts from other bloggers in August.

  • Aww thank you SO much for sharing my post, you are too sweet! I love your eclipse picture, too! I’ve never heard of My Favorite Thing is Monsters, so I will definitely be checking that out! And I hope you are having an AMAZING time at BookNet Fest- that sounds SO fun! Can’t wait to read about it 😀

    • You’re so welcome! 🙂 Ahhhh, you HAVE to check out My Favorite Thing is Monsters. It instantly became a favorite of the year, and now holds a place on my favorite books of all time. It’s weird and doesn’t follow a traditional narrative structure, but it’s also brilliant in almost every way. Plus, the art is STUNNING. Thank you!! BookNet Fest was SO SO SO much fun. I hope you have a great September, Shannon!
