Sometimes we lose interest in a certain genre that we used to read a lot. It happens. Either we’ve outgrown the genre or we simple lost interest for one reason or another. Everyone has that genre they used to read all the time and now barely ever touch anymore. Think about it for a second. I’m sure you can come up with at least one. Hello, lovely readers! Welcome to another edition of mini reviews. I was lucky enough to read ARCs of two lovely (but very different) poetry books coming out this spring, and that’s what we’ll be discussing today! Let’s get into the reviews. I loved Lovelace’s debut collection, The Princess Saves Herself in This One, so I had high hopes for this sequel of sorts. While I do think WITCH makes a great companion to PRINCESS, I found myself zoning out and skimming some of the poems in this collection at times because the content felt so repetitive.
