Blog Tour +GIVEAWAY || Die For You: Amy Fellner Dominy

Welcome to my stop on the blog tour for the lovely book Die For You. This was an absolutely fantastic read; stay with me through this review so you can get to the giveaway at the end.  This book was fabulous, plain and simple. I have been in a terrible reading slump for a better part of this whole year, but this book definitely kept me captivated. Being in this slump has led me to put down so many books, but not this one. What really had me engaged from the get go was Amy’s amazing write style. The author’s writing style has been a big thing for me lately & she absolutely hit the mark. I feel like a lot […]

Madalyn’s Novel Rewind (3)

Posted November 12, 2016 by Madalyn / 14 Comments

Novel Rewind is our version of a weekly wrap up post.  The three of us will be alternating weeks. We will be linking up to Stacking the Shelves and The Sunday Post. Life Happenings The past few days have been some of the worst mental health days of my entire life. I don’t want to talk politics here, because, quite frankly, I’m exhausted. Soon, I will get back up and start fighting for what I believe is right, but I’m still trying to process. I just feel incredibly depressed, anxious, and hopeless at the moment. If you guys want to leave one positive thing that happened to you this week in the comments, that would mean a lot. <3 I’ll start: last weekend, […]

The Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon

The Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon

Follow my blog with Bloglovin Although I have yet to read Nicola Yoon’s debut novel, Everything, Everything, I have been anticipating the release of The Sun Is Also a Star since I first heard about it. I had high hopes going in, and I was not disappointed. I’m not normally a fan of stories that involve instalove in any capacity, but Yoon made the trope work. This book was just so dang CUTE. The main plotline takes place over the course of one day in New York City– a day that happens to be our female protagonist, Natasha’s, last day in the United States, as her family has been living in the country illegally for nine years and is being […]

Blog Tour: Dead Girls Society by Michelle Krys

Dead Girls Society Blog Tour When I read the summary for Dead Girls Society I knew it would be a book that I would enjoy.  We all know I love me a good thriller, right? This book was definitely that. Dead Girls Society is about a girl named Hope, who’s living with Cystic Fibrosis.  This may sound morbid, but I love reading books when the main characters have some kind of illness.  I know, I know. I can’t help it though, it’s the nurse in me. Hope’s illness, while it does play a role in this book, it wasn’t the main focus.  There’s also  secrets, life or death dares, and maybe some kissing.  Sounds awesome, right? As a huge reader […]

Posted November 5, 2016 by Christy / 8 Comments

Novel Rewind is our version of a weekly wrap up post.  Each of us will be alternating weeks. We will be linking up to Stacking the Shelves and The Sunday Post. Life & What’s Happened I explained a lot of what’s been going on with me during our Monthly Rewind post on Tuesday so I’m not going to go into a lot of details here. I have spent my last few days off work doing a little Christmas shopping and OTSPSecretSister shopping! I still have no idea what to get my husband or my parents though haha. The Books Bought: Even though it’s been well over a month since I’ve done one of these posts, I’ve only bought one book.  […]

How Being a Reader Affects My Musicianship | Tea Talk Thursday (1)

Posted November 3, 2016 by Madalyn / 0 Comments

Hi guys! Today, I have something a bit different for you. My reading has been less than stellar recently, so I thought I’d start a discussion with you all today. I’m planning for this post to be the first in a series called Tea Talk Thursdays, wherein I will post some kind of discussion every so often on a Thursday, and also tell you what tea I’m loving at the moment (if you didn’t know, I work in a tea shop and am kind of a tea fanatic). the tea Recently, I’ve been mixing Just Add Honey’s Earl Grey Cream tea with a bit of lavender to make the perfect pick-me-up. I’m a huge fan of earl grey in general, but […]
