WHY SLUMPS? WHY????

Posted July 25, 2016 by Christy / 26 Comments

Reading Slumps Suck I usually post a review on Monday’s but today is a little different because I don’t have one TO POST.  Why is that?  Because I’ve been in a horrible reading slump for the last few weeks. I don’t know if it’s because the last book that I read was just THAT good (One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid), or if there’s another reason playing into it.  I’m thinking it’s mostly Taylor Jenkins Reid’s fault though.  Even though I have been super busy with my job and with opening a Society6 and Redubble, I have had time to read and I’ve actually picked a few up and I even go as far as to read 30ish pages […]

We will be linking up to Stacking the Shelves and The Sunday Post. Life & What’s Happened I have been super busy since my last rewind post!  I’ve been working my nurse job and I’ve been trying to keep up with my Etsy shop and then on top of all of that, I decided to open Redbubble and Society6 shops :O School is also getting ready to start back in the next couple of weeks so I’ve been trying to get everything together for my son […]

The Killer In Me by Margot Harrison

The Killer In Me by Margot Harrison

My Thoughts When I first saw the book The Killer In Me I knew that it was a book that I just had to have.  I’m a sucker for a good twisted book and this one definitely sounded very twisty.  I mean, did you read that summary? It sounds twisted as hell. On the outside, Nina seems like a ordinary 17 year old girl, but Nina’s world is darker than it seems.  See, Nina has a front row seat into the mind of a serial killer and she has for as long as she can remember.  Nina doesn’t know why she has this connection with a killer whom she calls, The Thief, but it’s there and it’s about time she […]

One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid

One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid

This book seriously gave me ALL THE FEELS and ALL THE EMOTIONS and I just finished it and I just don’t even know what to say.  I just can’t even put into words exactly what this book made me go through and how much I loved it.  I’m so happy that I listened to everyone when they said what a wonderful book One True Loves is.  This is one book that truly deserves all the hype. Emma is a character that I really connected with, maybe that’s because I have a husband named Jesse just like her haha.  I kid, I kid.  Seriously though, I felt a connection with her from the start and I was rooting for her happiness […]

Happy Birthday Erica!! *throws confetti* Erica, I wanted to write this post not only to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY, but also because I wanted to tell you just how amazing you are and just how thankful I am to have you as my best friend.  I’m so glad that you responded to my post a few years ago about a co-blogger and I don’t know if I ever told you this or not, but you were the very first person who contacted me about it and I just had a feeling about you from the very beginning so I never even talked to anyone else. I want to thank you for always being there for me, and I know that I […]

Interview with the lovely Shelley Shepard Gray!

Posted July 7, 2016 by Erica / 2 Comments

Interview Time  Q1. What got you into writing? Was it something you always enjoyed doing or did it spark at a certain time?  A1. I only began writing because I had forgotten a book one day when I was teaching school. I started writing as a fun hobby! I never intended to try to get published until my husband encouraged me to go to a local RWA meeting. That was in 2000.   Q2. Ohio is a wonderful place to be, I grew up there so I know, what made you decide to set this in Ohio? I know you have visited the town Charm quite a few times, but what stood out to you?  A2. You’re right, Ohio is […]
