Our Most Beloved OTPs

Posted February 9, 2016 by Christy / 30 Comments

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday was a Valentine’s Freebie, so Erica and I chose to go with Our Most Beloved OTPs CHRISTY’S LIST Juliette & Warner Juliette and Warner will always be one of my top OTPs.  I love how they compliment each other, plus Warner is <333333 Cat & Bones Cat & Bones became one of my OTPs before I even knew what an OTP was.  I loved their relationship from the beginning until the very end.  They will always have a special place on my OTP list. America & Maxon I know that a lot of readers didn’t really care much for The Selection books, but it’s among my favorite.  I loved every book and I loved America and […]

Not If I See You First by Eric Lindstrom | Surprised Me

Not If I See You First by Eric Lindstrom | Surprised Me

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting to fall in love with this book as much as I did. I actually bought it on a whim, I saw it when I was at the store and it looked interesting so I bought it without reading the synopsis or reading any reviews.  It was kind of an impulse buy, but oh my gosh, I’m so glad that I got it because it was absolutely AMAZING. Because no one can know anybody, really.  Not completely. Parker Grant is blind, but don’t feel sorry for her because she’s a badass that doesn’t let it hold back from doing the things that she wants.  She also has ‘The Rules’ and everyone knows them.  The Rules are just […]

Erica’s Novel Rewind (1)

Posted February 7, 2016 by Erica / 16 Comments

Novel Rewind is the way Christy and I wrap up our week. Though, since there is two of us we’ll be showcasing the past two weeks. Since I didn’t post a week ago, I’ll have that week and this week, so our hauls may seem big, but like I said, we’re showcasing two weeks instead of the usual one. We will be linking up to Stacking the Shelves and The Sunday Post. Life & What’s Happened Not much has been happening these past two weeks. I kind of filled you in on the monthly recap post we had. Though, one thing is happening that I am absolutely over the moon about. My dad is giving me money so I can […]

The Panem Companion: V. Arrow

The Panem Companion: V. Arrow

Do you want a book that makes you excited about The Hunger Games? That makes you reminisce? A book that makes you learn more about Katniss, Peeta, Prim and so on? If so, then run away. This book is not that and isn’t even close. This book just pissed me off to no end. I read Cait @ Paper Fury’s review before heading into this book and I was like, “Erica, what the hell are you getting yourself into?” But I went and read it anyway. It made me hurt because I just felt so lost after reading it. Some of the aspects of this book were ridiculous, totally kidding. All aspects of this book were ridiculous. One that pissed me […]

Bookish Tag | The Literary Dinner Party

Posted February 4, 2016 by Christy / 9 Comments

The Literary Dinner Party Erica and I were tagged by the lovely Gaby @ Latte Nights Reviews to do this super fun tag! It was originally created by NEHOMAS2  on YouTube. It works like this. You are hosting a dinner party in which you can invite any character you want.  But the catch, there are 15 categories you need to fill and you only have room for 16 characters.  One Character Who Can Cook/Likes To Cook Christy: I chose Gin from the Elemental Assassin series.  I’ve read like 12 books in this series and basically everything that Gin fixes sounds AMAZING.  I mean, she owns the freaking Pork Pit so you know her food is awesome. Just don’t piss her off. One […]

2016 Thrillers I’m Dying For | Part 2

Posted February 2, 2016 by Christy / 10 Comments

Last week I done a post with some 2016 thrillers that I can’t wait to read.  Of course there’s so many awesome ones releasing in the next few months that I couldn’t fit them all into one post.  So here’s a few more that I’m REALLLLLLYYYY excited for. The May Queen Murders Sarah Jude Publishing: May 3, 2016 Stay on the roads. Don’t enter the woods. Never go out at night. Those are the rules in Rowan’s Glen, a remote farming community in the Missouri Ozarks where Ivy Templeton’s family has lived for centuries. It’s an old-fashioned way of life, full of superstition and traditions, and sixteen-year-old Ivy loves it. The other kids at school may think the Glen kids […]

The Siren by Kiera Cass

The Siren by Kiera Cass

I have been eagerly awaiting the release of The Siren since it was announced.  It’s no secret that I’m in love with The Selection books so I went into this one hoping to love it just as much.  Of course, I thought it was fantastic. Kahlen is a Siren, which I’m sure that you already knew that since it’s titled The Siren, but whatevs.  I’m also sure that you’ve heard about Sirens and what it is that they do sometime in your life, whether it has been in a book or a movie or wherever.  The difference that I’ve found between the Sirens in this book and the ones that I’ve read about or watched before is that these Siren’s don’t […]
