Starting the new year off…

Posted January 31, 2016 by Ink Ladies / 15 Comments

Well, January was a good month and I think it was a great start to the year. Nothing too crazy happened, nothing too bad happened either. It was just a good, mellow start to the year and I am happy with that. We hope you guys had a wonderful start to the year, as well. New on the blog… OTSP Secret Sister… Erica: I haven’t gotten my package from my sister yet, but she bought some last minute items so I’m definitely not complaining. This was the last month and that is so upsetting. It was such a fantastic ride. Crystal, my sister, has been magnificent and I was lucky to have her. Next week on my weekly update I’ll […]

Christy’s Novel Rewind (1)

Posted January 30, 2016 by Christy / 23 Comments

Novel Rewind is our version of a weekly wrap-up. We’ll be linking up to Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, and Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Life Life has been kind of crazy the last week or so.  Last weekend we got a huge blizzard and since nurses don’t get snow days and it was my weekend to work, Friday night I got stuck and had to rent a hotel room with a few co-workers near the hospital and away from my babies.  Luckily, Saturday evening after work, I was able to make it home. I also got my sign up sent in for OTSPSecretSister so I can’t wait to get my pairing in the next day […]

Posted January 27, 2016 by Christy / 8 Comments

We all know that I’m a sucker for a good thriller, right?  Well, if you didn’t, you do now.  Thrillers are among my favorite genre of book, and I’m always up for a good thrill (pun intended).  With the new year here, come many new thrillers, so I thought I’d share some of the ones that release in the first part of the year that I’m super excited for! The Killer In Me Author: Margot Harrison Releases: July 26, 2016 by Disney-Hyperion Hasn’t he lived long enough? Why not? I could take him like a thief in the night. This is how the Thief thinks. He serves death, the vacuum, the unknown. He’s always waiting. Always there. Seventeen-year-old Nina Barrows […]

Never Never Part 2 | HOLY CRAP, I NEED ANSWERS!

This is honestly going to be one of the toughest reviews that I’ve ever had to write, only because I loved it so much, even though I have no idea what’s going on. Even though I LOVED Never Never Part 1, I held off on reading this one until it was closer for part 3 to release because I just knew that I would finish it and want answers RIGHT NOW, so I wanted to wait until I knew that I would be able to read part 3 soonish.  Thank God I did it that way because HOLY CRAP, WHAT AN ENDING! I’d rather love you at the bottom than despise you at the top. Seriously, I’m at a loss […]

Everything, Everything: Nicola Yoon

My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I’m allergic to the world. I don’t leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla. But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He’s tall, lean and wearing all black—black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly. Maybe we can’t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love […]

I Said I’d Never Read This Book, BUT…….. Now I Want To I can’t tell you how many times I have said that I would never, EVER, pick up this book, no matter how much hype or how many followers it had.  It just didn’t seem like my style and I was so sure that I would not like it, so what was the point? Well, I’ve changed my mind. What book am I talking about? Harry Potter What Changed My Mind? The movies. On Black Friday, I saw that the complete set of the Harry Potter movies were on sale for $25 and I thought ‘What the Hell, I’ll give it a go’ and I completely FELL IN LOVE with […]
