Hotel Ruby | Stay Tonight or Stay Forever

Hotel Ruby | Stay Tonight or Stay Forever

Not What I Was Expecting Hotel Ruby was one of my most anticipated books of the year.  If you know me then you know I love horror and thrillers and if you combine those them YES, PLEASE.  And that’s what I was expecting to get with Hotel Ruby. Unfortunately, that wasn’t what I got.  Yes, there were aspects of each and I guess to someone who isn’t a hardcore horror fan, they would probably get more out of this one.   But I didn’t get that gut wrenching scary feeling while reading this one.  Maybe my expectations were too high going in, but whatever the reason, I didn’t love this like I was hoping. Lack of Connection I also wasn’t very invested in any […]

The Ridealong by Michaelbrent Collings : You blew me away!

The Ridealong by Michaelbrent Collings : You blew me away!

This book was absolutely outstanding. The story is told in first-person, from the main character, Melissa. The book starts off with you learning about an accident her father had. You are taken on a journey as soon as this story begins. Mel doesn’t want to leave her father after the accident…she definitely doesn’t want him going back to work. With her unease she heads out with him for a ridealong – a perk of being a cop’s daughter. Once the ridealong starts…it starts off rough. A dispatch comes on the radio and it’s not a voice Detective Latham has heard before. This voice, the voice of Jack, is eerie and is leading them to the scene of a murder. The […]

Come Back to Me by Mila Gray

Welcome to my stop on the Come Back to Me tour hosted by Fantastic Flying Book Club! A story of romance, friendships and lots of tears! Make sure you check out the giveaway! “Come back to me,” I whisper. “Always,” he answers, kissing me for the last time.” If you read the synopsis to this before diving in you surely know some tears will be shed. The prologue to this book basically shares with you what the synopsis does. You have the wondering fear throughout the whole book, who will it be? Kit, her brother’s best friend, her boyfriend or will it be Riley, her brother? Who will come back to her and who will pass away? This whole idea had me […]

Christy’s Finally Going to See What All the Harry Potter Fuss is About

Posted December 2, 2015 by Christy / 15 Comments

Yes, you read that right.  But, it may not be in the sense that you think.  I’m not going to be reading the books (at least not right now), BUT I did order this…. So I’m going to be watching all 8 movies for the FIRST TIME!! And this is honestly a big thing for me because I was never all that interested in them and I really thought I would never watch or read the books.  And while I’m still not sure that I’ll ever read the books (they are huge and intimidating to me), this is my compromise.  It seems like EVERYONE loves Harry and tired of being in the dark, I want to see what all the […]
