Do you know what that means?!?! HALLOWEEN and ALL THE SCARY THINGS!! YAY!!!!  My son has requested a Halloween themed birthday party which is Saturday, and I may be way more excited than him so there are a ton of Halloween decorations already going up at my house. Alright, enough rambling.  Here are the October releases that I WANT RIGHT NOW. ERICA’S LIST October already? Well…practically. I can just think back to it being my birthday. This Ordinary Life by Jennifer Walkup

This Ordinary Life by Jennifer Walkup

ERICA’S REVIEW This was the book I needed. Christy and I have been needing a book to just sweep us away and she found hers, When, and I needed to find mine and This Ordinary Life was it. Such a wonderful, fun read that made me smile the whole way through. Yes, it had the serious topics throughout this book, but it was still light and so enjoyable. I mean, I love my romances and this one was perfect. The two who made the most amazing couple were great characters on their own. Together they were amazing and by themselves…just the same. Wes was just a fun loving, quirky character you couldn’t get enough of. He was very thoughtful and Jasmine […]

We’ll Never Be Apart | Is Twisted

We’ll Never Be Apart | Is Twisted

We’ll Never Be Apart was one of my most anticipated reads of the fall.  It sounded so good and the cover is GORGEOUS.  I picked this book up expecting a twisted story that would keep me on the edge of my seat the entire time.  While, this was *as* twisted as I was expecting, it was still a great read. After a fire that killed her boyfriend, Jason, Alice is sent to Savage Isla, a psychiatric hospital.  She’s having trouble remembering what happened that night.  All she knows is even though she’s being charged for Jason’s death, she wasn’t the one who set the fire, her twin sister, Cellie, did, and Alice has to prove it. First of all, I […]

Full Count by Cori Williams // *Yaaaaawn*

ERICA’S REVIEW I am quite surprised with myself…I ended up finishing this bad boy. It takes me back to reading Never Always Sometimes. The concept and everything intrigued me, but it was just boring and certain aspects just pissed me off. I was yawning the whole time and skimming through each page. That shouldn’t be happening. I should be wanting to read and read and not want to put it down. I know some books start of slow, like right now I’m reading Heir of Fire and it definitely started off slow but it picked up…this just kind of slowed down even more. It was basically just your run of the mill NA novel. I hate writing reviews and saying bad things, but […]

Netflixing Gone Wild — Gossip Girl

Posted September 24, 2015 by Ink Ladies / 5 Comments

Christy and I are finally done with the first season of Gossip Girl and boy…we are hooked. We are addicted. I have put off Gossip Girl for some time now, but my sister kept recommending it to me. Then, Christy went and started watching and she said I needed to start sooner than later. Boy, I’m so glad you guys chose this one for us! 😀 We are going to do this as a conversation cause to Christy & I it’s the easiest way for us to get out everything we are thinking. We are going to do the plot and characters without having any spoilers. Then we will have a part after that which will showcase romance. It’s super hard to talk […]

When | Was Exactly What I Needed

When | Was Exactly What I Needed

After reading a bunch of review books in a row, I needed a break.  I was to the point of not wanting to read because I felt like I HAD to.  That’s not a good feeling.  I talked to Erica about it and then I decided to pick a book off of my personal TBR shelf.  One that I didn’t HAVE to read.  I decided on When since thrillers are my go-to genre that can usually pull me out of a slump and that’s exactly what When done.  I flew through this book in one day. An Extremely Interesting Plot I have never really given any thought on whether or not I would want to know when I would die.  Before […]

Tonight the Streets Are Ours | Was Utterly Disappointing

Tonight the Streets Are Ours | Was Utterly Disappointing

Tonight the Streets Are Ours is not at all what I was expecting. What Was I Expecting? As a huge fan of This Song Will Save Your Life, I was so excited to get my hands on this book.  I just knew that I would fall in love with it like I did TSWSYL.  That didn’t happen. I did like the overall message of this book and that is the only reason for my 2 star rating. I was expecting to fall in love with the characters, or at least the main character.  That didn’t happen.  Our MC, Arden, most of the time at times, got on my nerves. In the summary she is described as being ‘recklessly loyal’ but […]
