The Fixer // Had A Lot of WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING Moments

Review The best mysteries are the ones that have you suspecting almost EVERYONE, or the ones that have you saying to yourself “what the hell is happening” or “what just happened?!”.  If you can find a book that gives you both of these things while reading it AND you end up being wrong about ‘who done it’, then congratulations, you’ve just read an amazing book. I went through all of this and more while reading The Fixer.   The story and the characters were extremely interesting, combine that with the writing, and I was engaged from very early on in the book.  But, once everything starts going down, I was HOOKED.  Like I mentioned above, I was suspecting people left and right, and […]

WHICH SHIP WILL SINK?

Are you ready for another BATTLESHIP?!  If you are interested in entering into the gauntlet ENTER HERE! You can go up against Christy and I, a friend, or a random opponent, which is pretty awesome. It’s Shannon VS. Kirsty Marie! Celaena & Chaol beat out Gus & Hazel during the last battle so they will be taking on a new opponent today!  vs.  Why Kristy-Marie chose Celaena & Chaol? Because it’s Celaena and Chaol *cough* 😉 Why Shannon chose Katniss & Peeta? Because they are the ultimate OTP! They were people’s (and by people, I mean “my”) OTP before OTPs even existed! I mean, she said “Real” for goodness sake.       Which OTP Prevails? Celaena & Chaol Katniss & Peeta   […]

Even When You Lie to Me by Jessica Alcott

Even When You Lie to Me by Jessica Alcott

“The day after I turned eighteen was the day Mr. Drummond left for good.” The synopsis and general idea of this book had me from the get go. I was so very intrigued with this story that I new I had to give it a go. I kind of wanted an Aria and Ezra thing going on…and I think that’s where I got my hopes up. Charlie was such a magnificent character. I really loved her and if I could read another Alcott story about just Charlie and her future endeavors I would be set. Alcott writes beautifully and I was so in to her writing, but the story just didn’t get my full intention. I mean, it did, hell, […]

A Court of Thorns and Roses || Best Fae Book EVER

A Court of Thorns and Roses || Best Fae Book EVER

Review Before I get started, I’d like to take a moment to bow down to the queen of fantasy *bows*.  Seriously, this is the best Faerie book that I’ve ever read, and I can’t wait for the next book. THESE. CHARACTERS.  I loved them, well, most of them *shakes fist at Amarantha*.  Feyre is such a strong person, she has been through so much in her life and it’s so unfair that she had so much responsibility placed on her shoulders, but she does it without complaint and I loved that about her.  She knows that what she does is for her and her family to survive so she does the best she can with what she has.  Tamlin is such a complicated […]

Finding the Rainbow by Traci Borum

Finding the Rainbow by Traci Borum

I definitely thought I was going to fall head over heals for this book…but that didn’t happen. But first, let’s get things straight…that doesn’t mean I didn’t like it. This book was an enjoyable contemporary, but with contemporary and romance being my go-to genre, this one just didn’t take the cake. It was a very cute story and it ended how I thought it would (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing), but I wanted more. I didn’t really connect with the main characters, which was fairly disappointing. From the synopsis I thought I would love Holly. She seemed like such a loving character who would do anything for anyone…which in fact she was, but there was something about her (that […]
