Monthly Ink

Monthly Ink is a new feature that we will be starting on the blog. I saw Paper Fury’s Weekly Fury and Monthly Wrap-Up which gave me the idea. While Christy brought up how awesome YA Midnight Reads Midnight Madness Newsletter was. So we thought we add a monthly wrap-up to our blog & also include Latte Nights Reviews Latte Nights Obsessions into our post. We will be adding our reviews, discussion posts, books we’ve read so far this month and our favorites, and any other news we feel necessary to add. This is our first post, so next month we’ll do some tweaking to it along the way. We’re not sure if we’ll do it the last day every month or it will fall on […]

Stacking the Shelves (79)

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.       Christy’s Haul This week has been crazy insane, I started my 120 hour preceptorship so I’ve worked a few 12 hour shifts following a nurse, add that on top of class, homework and clinical and I have been like a zombie this week haha. Bought/Traded/Won   99 Days | Kissing In America | The Way We Bared Our Souls | Eight Grave After Dark | Dead to Me Kindle Books   Tin Lily*  * I actually saw this book on Beautiful Bookish Butterflies  and it sounded like the type of book that I would love.  There are also more underrated contemporary books on there that […]

Screaming, Crying, Perfect Storms…// Until You’re Mine

Screaming, Crying, Perfect Storms…// Until You’re Mine

Erica’s Review Until You’re Mine was a book I was really looking forward to reading. I haven’t read many mysteries, really only one…and it was Dangerous Girls. Which, fell a little short for me. But, I really enjoyed Until You’re Mine. It had me engaged from the beginning all the way to the very last line. Holy goodness, that last line was just wowza.  It wasn’t just the last line that was amazing though. I really enjoyed Samantha Hayes’ writing and she kept me intrigued throughout this whole story. The book included three different POVs and at first I thought that was going to lead to a very awful read, but it worked wonderfully. I think the three views made the book […]

All About Powerless

All About Powerless

Excerpt “You never answered my question. What are you doing down here so late?” Those bright blue eyes sear into me as he takes a step back. “I have to go.” His sudden evasiveness makes me suspicious, so when he starts to move past me, I sidestep into his path. “Excuse me,” I say, “but this is a secure level. Are you even authorized to be down here?” “My dad,” he says, scowling at me. “He’s a security guard.” A security guard? The facility might be so big that I can’t keep track of everyone who works in every lab, but I know all the guards by name. Especially the night guards, since I’m usually the last one here. Travis […]

The Devil You Know by Trish Doller | Book Review

The Devil You Know by Trish Doller | Book Review

As a fan of Trish Doller, I loved Something Like Normal and Where the Stars Still Shine, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on her new book, The Devil You Know.  Not only was I excited for this book because it’s Trish Doller, but if you’ve read the summary of the book then you know it’s a thriller, and if you know me, then you know I love me a good thriller. Arcadia is an eighteen year old girl who has spent the last four years of her life taking care of her dad and brother, because of this she has sacrificed so many things that a normal teenage girl would get to experience.  But one night Cadie has had […]

ARC Review | Exposure by Annie Jocoby

ARC Review | Exposure by Annie Jocoby

Erica’s Review Before I go on with my review I want to state (even though we have a disclosure above) that this book has a very good amount of adult content. I didn’t know there would be that much going in, but as you see in my post, it was still a good read. Exposure was a book that I was expecting to love, but it just didn’t do it for me. I really enjoyed the book, but the insta-love was kind of crazy. I have heard bloggers and blogging friends talk about insta-love before, but I had never really seen it until now. I mean I know that sometimes people do fall that fast, but within this book it was […]
